If you play padel regularly, you have probably asked yourself the same question: how much can I really improve in just one weekend?

Three days might not sound like a long time. You are not going to completely transform your game or master every shot in a single weekend. But with focused training, professional coaching and enough time on court, three days can be more than enough to identify key areas for improvement and make changes that you can take back home with you.

At Sevilla Padel Experience, we work with international players of different levels every week. One thing we have learned is that improving at padel is not always about learning more shots.

Very often, it is about using the shots you already have more effectively.

Can You Really Improve Your Padel in 3 Days?

Yes — but the objective has to be realistic.

An intensive padel weekend is very different from taking a single one-hour lesson.

When you train several days in a row, your coach has time to understand your game, identify recurring mistakes and work on them in different situations.

Instead of trying to change everything, the goal should be to focus on a few areas that can have a real impact on your game.

For many amateur players, these are not necessarily complicated technical changes. They can be things like:

  • Better court positioning
  • Choosing the right shot
  • Understanding when to attack and when to defend
  • Improving your movement with your partner
  • Using the glass more effectively
  • Feeling more comfortable at the net

Small changes in these areas can make a big difference.

Day 1 – Understanding Your Game

The first step is simple: understand how you play.

Before trying to correct anything, the coach needs to see you in real situations.

At Sevilla Padel Experience, players are grouped according to their level so that training can be adapted as much as possible to the needs of each group.

During the first sessions, our coaches can identify common patterns in your game.

Maybe you are standing too close to the net.

Maybe you attack balls that should be played more patiently.

Maybe you avoid using the glass.

Or perhaps your technique is good, but your positioning makes the game much more difficult than it needs to be.

Identifying these details is one of the most valuable parts of intensive training.

Because sometimes the problem is not the shot itself — it is where, when and why you are playing it.

Day 2 – From Technique to Real Game Situations

Once the main areas for improvement have been identified, the next step is to work on them repeatedly.

This can include technical work on shots such as:

Forehand and backhand

Volleys

Wall rebounds

Corner defence

Bandeja

Smash

But technique is only part of padel.

The important question is:

Can you use that shot correctly during a match?

That is why we believe training should progressively move from technical exercises into realistic game situations.

For example, learning a bandeja is useful.

Learning when to play a bandeja, where to place it and how to recover your position afterwards is much more valuable.

The same applies to defence.

It is not only about returning a ball after the glass. It is about understanding when you can counterattack and when you simply need to stay in the point.

This is where tactical training becomes essential.

Day 3 – Putting Everything Into the Match

The final part of the weekend is where everything starts to come together.

You have worked on technique.

You have worked on positioning.

You have repeated different situations.

Now you have to make decisions without the coach telling you what shot is coming next.

That is the real test.

Match play allows coaches to see whether the concepts from the previous sessions are starting to appear naturally in your game.

It also highlights something that is sometimes difficult to train through drills alone: decision-making.

Should you go to the net?

Should you play through the middle?

Should you slow the point down?

Should you attack?

Should you let the ball hit the glass?

These decisions often separate players who have similar technical ability.

What Can You Realistically Improve in One Weekend?

Every player is different, but there are several areas where we often see noticeable changes after intensive training.

Court Positioning

Understanding where you should be on the court can immediately make the game feel easier.

Good positioning gives you more time and makes your shots simpler.

Shot Selection

One of the biggest improvements for many amateur players is learning that the most difficult shot is not always the best shot.

Sometimes the best decision is simply to keep the point alive.

Net Play

Getting to the net is important in padel.

Knowing what to do once you are there is even more important.

Players can improve their positioning, movement and understanding of when to maintain or give up the net.

Defence and the Glass

International players who have not grown up playing padel are sometimes less comfortable defending with the glass.

Several focused sessions can help players understand rebounds better and start seeing the glass as an advantage rather than a problem.

Playing With Your Partner

Padel is a team sport.

Moving together, communicating and understanding which player should take each ball can improve your performance without changing a single technical shot.

What Won’t You Improve in 3 Days?

This is equally important.

Three days of training will not turn you into a completely different player.

You will not perfect every shot.

You will not completely change years of habits.

And you will probably not master a new technique after trying it for a few hours.

Good coaching should not promise that.

The real objective is to give you clear corrections, better understanding and specific tools that you can continue working on when you return home.

Think of an intensive weekend as an accelerator.

You identify what matters, work intensively on it and leave knowing exactly what you should focus on next.

Why Intensive Training Is Different

Many recreational players take one lesson per week.

That can be a very effective way to improve over time.

But intensive training offers something different: continuity.

Instead of waiting seven days between sessions, you return to the court a few hours later or the following morning.

The correction from yesterday is still fresh.

The coach already knows your game.

And the next session can continue from exactly where the previous one finished.

That continuity allows you to spend less time starting again and more time developing the same concepts.

What Does a Padel Weekend With Sevilla Padel Experience Look Like?

Our Padel Weekends in Seville include 8 hours of padel over three days, combining technical and tactical training with real game situations and match play.

A typical weekend is organised as:

Friday: 3 hours of padel
Saturday: 3 hours of padel
Sunday: 2 hours of padel

Before your arrival, we ask about your playing experience and current level. Once on court, our coaches assess the players and organise the groups to create the best possible training environment.

Our coaching team works with international players throughout the year, so we understand that every player arrives with a different background, level and objective.

Some want to improve their defence.

Some want to finally understand the bandeja.

Some want more confidence at the net.

And others simply want to understand the game better.

There is no single training programme that works for every player.

Train. Learn. Enjoy Seville.

Of course, a padel weekend should not only be about training.

You are in Seville.

Once the rackets are back in the bag, you have one of Spain’s most exciting cities waiting for you — its tapas, culture, history and atmosphere.

That is the idea behind Sevilla Padel Experience:

Come to Seville. Train seriously. Improve your game. And enjoy everything the city has to offer.

Three days will not make you a professional padel player.

But they can completely change the way you understand your game.
